Waterproof performance
Samelin describes the 550 as waterproof footwear. Its natural nubuck and textile upper is supported by a four-layer TOPAZ waterproof membrane. Correct care of both material types helps maintain performance.
Fit & sizing
Samelin hiking boots tend to fit slightly large. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size. Otherwise, choose your usual EU size and compare your foot measurement with the inside-length chart. Consider the thickness of your hiking socks when choosing.

Comfort & break-in
The lighter nubuck-and-textile construction is more flexible than the 5531 and 553P. A short introductory wear period is still recommended before longer walks.
Production standards
Manufactured by Samelin in Estonia under NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001 quality standards. In 2017, Samelin was named Estonia’s Defense Industry Company of the Year.
Care
Brush away dirt after use and clean the nubuck and textile with products suitable for both materials. Let the boots dry naturally away from direct heat.
