    Description

Waterproof combat boots with reinforced military construction and an additional TPU toe protector.

The Samelin 734 Waterproof Combat Boots in Black are made from waterproof smooth chrome leather with a breathable four-layer PTFE membrane. Manufactured in Estonia for NATO military units, model 734 builds on model 736 by adding an external TPU protector at the toe.

    Why choose the Samelin 734?

    • Waterproof smooth chrome-leather upper
    • Waterproof and breathable four-layer PTFE lining
    • Membrane formed using sock construction
    • Additional TPU toe protector
    • Thermoplastic toe and heel reinforcement
    • Dual-layer polyurethane and rubber outsole
    • Slip- and oil-resistant tread
    • Stainless-steel hooks and eyelets
    • Removable, anatomical, shock-resistant, antibacterial, breathable and washable insole
    • Unisex design
    • Made in Estonia

    Fit & sizing

Samelin boots tend to fit slightly large. Choose your usual EU size. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size.

For measurements and fitting advice, see the Samelin & AIPI Boots Size Guide.

    Waterproof construction

The waterproof smooth chrome-leather upper works with a breathable four-layer PTFE membrane made using sock construction. This creates a continuous waterproof lining around the foot while allowing moisture to move away during active use.

    Toe protection & outsole

The 734 has thermoplastic reinforcement at the toe and heel plus an additional TPU protector over the toe. Its dual-layer polyurethane and rubber outsole is slip- and oil-resistant, while stainless-steel hooks and eyelets allow the lacing height to be adjusted.

How does model 734 differ from model 736?

Model 734 is based on the Samelin 736 Waterproof Combat Boots but adds an external TPU toe protector. This makes the 734 the more suitable choice when additional protection against scuffs and contact at the toe is desirable.

    Break-in

As with many substantial leather boots, the 734 may require a break-in period. Wear them for shorter periods initially and increase the wearing time gradually as the leather adapts to your feet.

Made for military use in Estonia

Samelin manufactures model 734 in Estonia for NATO military units under the NATO AQAP 2110 quality system. Samelin also holds ISO 9001 certification. In 2017, the company was named Estonia’s Defense Industry Company of the Year.

    Care

Remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth and allow the boots to dry naturally away from direct heat. Remove the insole to improve airflow while drying. Use a care product suitable for waterproof smooth leather, following its instructions to help maintain the leather and weather protection.

    Frequently asked questions

Are the Samelin 734 boots waterproof?

Yes. They combine a waterproof smooth chrome-leather upper with a waterproof four-layer PTFE membrane.

    Is the waterproof lining breathable?

Yes. The PTFE lining is both waterproof and breathable and is formed using sock construction.

What does the TPU toe protector do?

It adds an external protective layer over the reinforced toe and is the principal construction difference between models 734 and 736.

Are the boots insulated for winter?

No insulating or winter lining is specified. They are waterproof combat boots for varied weather rather than dedicated insulated winter boots.

How do the Samelin 734 boots fit?

Can the insole be removed and washed?

Yes. The anatomical insole is removable, antibacterial, breathable and washable.

    Where are the boots made?

They are made in Estonia by Samelin for NATO military units.

Had them for 1month. Hiked 100km in 4 rounds. Easy to break in for me. Size 40, usually 41 in sneakers. Always use two layers socks in boots.
Have not tried in challenging conditions as water proofness is not tested.
