Fit & sizing
Samelin boots tend to fit slightly large. Choose your usual EU size. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size.
For measurements and fitting advice, see the Samelin & AIPI Boots Size Guide.
PrimaLoft® 400 winter insulation
PrimaLoft® 400 provides the winter-specific insulation that distinguishes this version from the standard 739. Samelin does not provide a fixed temperature rating, because perceived warmth also depends on activity, socks, weather and individual sensitivity to cold.
Waterproof leather & breathable lining
The upper is made from waterproof smooth chrome leather. Inside, the boot has a breathable textile lining together with the PrimaLoft® insulation. The official specification does not list a separate waterproof membrane.
Toe protection & outsole
Thermoplastic reinforcement supports the toe and heel, while an additional TPU protector covers the toe. The dual-layer polyurethane and rubber outsole is slip- and oil-resistant. No specific ice-grip certification is stated, so normal caution is still required on ice.
Choose your Samelin 739
This Winter version adds PrimaLoft® 400 insulation to the 739 family. Choose the non-insulated Dark Brown 739 for the same colour with a breathable textile lining but no winter insulation. The Black 739 provides the principal non-insulated construction in black.
Occupational & military use
Model 739 meets EN ISO 20347:2012 for occupational footwear and has been selected for use by the Latvian National Armed Forces. Samelin manufactures the boots in Estonia for NATO military units under the NATO AQAP 2110 quality system and also holds ISO 9001 certification.
In 2017, Samelin was named Estonia’s Defense Industry Company of the Year.

Break-in
As with many substantial leather boots, the 739 may require a break-in period. Wear them for shorter periods initially and gradually increase the wearing time as the leather adapts to your feet.
Winter care
Remove loose dirt and road salt with a soft brush or damp cloth. Allow the boots and insulated lining to dry fully and naturally away from radiators and other direct heat. Use a care product suitable for waterproof smooth leather according to its instructions to help maintain the leather and its resistance to moisture.

No specific ice-grip certification is stated. The dual-layer polyurethane and rubber outsole is described as slip- and oil-resistant, but caution is still necessary on icy surfaces.
